Laurence Tarquin Von Thomas studied film and photography in Ghent. For two years he lives and works in London as a freelance photographer and contributes to magazines. Von Thomas shoots with a analog camera and believes that there are two chances for making a good photo: during the time of photographing itself and in the darkroom, when printing.
Von Thomas has a distinguising style. Where many photographers try to capture something genuine and small, Von Thomas actually succeeds.
He can’t be compared to the plethora of those trying to attain the ‘hipster mag’-feel. Von Thomas’s photographs resonate more deeply and we’ll be looking forward to his future works.
