Our next submission comes from Ashley Suzanne Taylor, who was born during the blizzard of 1979 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
When she was a small child her father first put a camera in her hands. When she was nine, she got her first own camera, a polaroid. In college she wanted to follow her passion and switched from a forestry major to a color photography major.
About her work, Taylor says:
There is something relaxed about my work, or maybe that’s just how I feel behind the camera. My influences are all around me. I enjoy capturing human honesty, and am constantly inspired by colors and empty spaces. I hope to have people take notice of the ordinary, and make the extraordinary seem ordinary… with a bit of humor mixed in sometimes.
Instinctively I am always looking, and always finding beauty with what surrounds me. My everyday life is my artistic practice.
